I know this is kind of an off topic thread, but I need to ask some of the long timers here this.
I'm in Phuket training Muay Thai (I teach in Korea.) But I specifically planned on being here in March because it was supposed to be the dry season. I got here March 2 and it has done nothing but rain the whole time. What's with that? There hasn't been a stretch of more than 3 days there wasn't rain. And as of late, it started raining Friday afternoon and hasn't let up since (now Monday morning.)
So have any of you long timers seen it rain so much during the "dry season?" I was here last year at this time and am fully aware that dry doesn't mean 100% dry, of course it rains on occasion. I just find this to be an extraordinary amount of rain. |

| I heard on the news last night that there was a huge tropical storm headed to Phuket. This is getting into monsoon season when the weather can be very unpredictable. The south of Thailand has been dealing with mass flooding for months on end. |
