Ok I need somebodies help!!

I lived in Spain for 3 years and now I am trying to get a visa for Asia, but have been informed that I may have to get a police check. Now I have looked on the internet and got the 970 form. I understand that what I have to do with that, but what I am confused about is the apostille and the translation, as i need the certificate in Enlglish

If I send a letter attached with the 970 stating that I need it legalised (apostille stamp) will they do these, and do I have to pay for it? Will they send me a traslated version of the certificate!?!?

I could get this done through the FCO but with a cost of 131 and I was hoping I could get it done cheaper through the Miniisterio de justicia!?!?!?

PLEASE if anyone knows anything let me know!!

thanks

I got the police report just last week for my summer school job.

Do not get it through the FCO for obvious cost reasons. I got it done through the Ministerio de Justicia and it costs 3.54. This is amazing as it is also one of the few public sector offices that seems to function correctly. All I had to do was to go to the office, fill out the form, take it to the bank to pay the fee and return where they printed it out straight away. The whole process takes less than 30 minutes.

The form I had was 790. If you are in Valencia and want more specific information about where the office is etc., let me know.

Sorry but I can't help with the sworn translation as I didn't need that.
