I see from the CfBT contract (that I am hoping and praying to get) that CfBT would subsidize courses taken for a masters. Has anyone taken advantage of this? Where did you take your courses? Is there an English University which offers courses or online. What did you take.
Any info would be helpful in this direction. |

Hi,
Many teachers have received contributions over the years from CfBT to follow a Masters course. There are many universities which now offer online courses and teachers have graduated with a masters from various universities in Australia, New Zealand, Uk and the US.
CfBT also offer their teachers in Brunei the CELTA course, run in the BSB Education Centre. There are also plans to run the DELTA in the near future.
All in all, lots of valuable professional development on offer!

That sounds extemely exciting. I am hoping to have the chance to do my masters while there, and any professional development which will contribute to my teaching in ESL will be wonderful. Especially brushing up on my English grammer.
I am going to join the project on June 4, I look forward to getting there! |
