Students speak well of them, I took one look at the contract they expected of teachers and told them that I wasn't interested. |

I did a year there. They paid on time, sorted out my work permit and were generally pretty helpful. The students are usually well-educated professionals, often sent there by their companies and are generally quite motivated and pleasant to deal with. As far as language schools go, the school's about as good as it gets in İzmir (Academy is also good I hear). However, at the end of the day, it is a business so don't expect anything to come before money!
You will work around 25 contact hours a week. There aren't a whole lot of teaching resources or any professional support and the courses can get boring. However, the staff are nice and the classrooms very comfortable.
All in all, you probably won't have a nightmare there and will get paid but it won't truly enrich your life and experience )) |
