I know the timing isnt good for recruiting/hiring season. After a few weeks of analysing Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Kayseri, Sivas, I want to choose a city I liked and try to first of all get a residence permit for my myself and my wife so I can take my time with my wife and make good decisions about teaching positions without feeling rushed by a 90 day tourist visa.
Would this be an absolutely horrible time to look for a job, meaning from about October 15 or so? |

I know of a job vacancy in Izmir, Turkey. It wasn't on your list of cities, but you might want to give it a shot. Try applying to Ekin Koleji (it's a private elementary and middle school). http://www.ekin.k12.tr/
The position is to teach English to middle schoolers. |

On the website I didn't see any announcement about the job, but it was by word of mouth. On the website at Insan Kaynaklar (human resources) they just have an application form and it's all in Turkish. |

Great time for a language school - terrible time for a secondary school or university. |
