The best jobs are generally unadvertised. And though it comes down to timing, with your qualifications you should have no trouble finding a good job just by coming in. Try some private universities (who rarely hire with less than 2-4 years of experience unless in a pinch, so you'll have no trouble), and some better known language schools; send them your resume, tell them you'll be flying in in September, but if they'll have any openings will be hiring now.

What I've learned is that schools that will obtain work permits for their teachers will usually start the school year around September, and make their hiring decisions by June, because that's how long it takes to get a work permit. Not all schools that obtain work permits are good of course; some use the permits as a way to try to bind the teachers to bad contracts. But again, with your quals you should have no trouble getting a job that is both good and legal.

If you don't care about legalities (and if you wish, you can afford to) you should have even less trouble. Show up in your city of choice, send your resume to any schools that sound interesting, not necessarily in that order.

As for finding schools: there are some lists, but they're rarely comprehensive, especially for smaller operations. Use Google and Google maps to find some of the larger ones, ask posters from your city of choice about smaller ones. And when you get to the city you can walk around. They tend to lump together, and smaller schools will only employ one native speaker at any one time.

Hope this was at least a bit more helpful than the "go there and find a job," I got before coming here.

Regards,
~Q
