It is very far away, and I know there schedule is different from ours but I want to spend an American summer teaching abroad. What would my chances be ti TEFL? Here are my qualification:
MA-school counselor
BA-English/Education
--experience coaching 9th grade basketball
--4 years classroom teaching experience in KY
--still active in teaching
where should i try to go?
anyone who can help please do so!
Do you think if I would pay for my own air fair i would be able to have everything else covered?
any links you can give me?
PM etc if you think you can help
I really want to teach abroad. I am going back to school soon to learn a language once my local college offers it in the evenings. |

What language are you going to learn?--it might make sense to use that as your guide in terms of places to go.
Is there anywhere in particular (country/region) you would really like to live in/teach in for a while?
Do you want to properly teach (in the classroom) or would you be happy to work in English language summer camps (where you will be 'facilitating' English and running activities rather than formally teaching)?
Are you looking to work with a particular age group?
I think if you are willing to pay your airfare, then that will probably give you more options. On the other hand, would you be willing to have your airfare paid but to work on a voluntary basis (i.e. room/board)?
A bit more information will help people point you in the right direction and will probably get you some more useful responses. |

I will more than likely study spanish.
I don't care i just am trying to get pointed in the right direction. Somewhere i could get paid either a plane ticket, or the money i would spend(not shopping just living moderalty) in a place for 10 weeks. I would really like something where i was given a room, and a small amount of money to eat on.
Does anyone know a decent place for me to look:
I would like anywhere
Asia?
Latin America?
I studied abroad in multiple places(Haiti, and Spain) |

Camps might work for you, but I haven't seen any in LA. Most of them seem to be in ASia, such as China, Korea, and Taiwan. Try searching for camp jobs in the spring. Some places will pay your airfare, get you a visa, and give you some spending money. |
