Hi. I've been offered a position with Sage and just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience, good or bad with them, since I cant seem to find any.
They have offered me:
1. One year teaching position;
2. Monthly Salary RMB 8000 based on 90 teaching hours per month;
3. Overtime pay will be RMB 70 per hour;
4. Rent free furnished apartment;
5. Accident insurance;
6. Work visa;
7. Free Chinese lessons;
8. A bilingual Chinese teaching assistant;
9. Round trip air ticket from home to China;
10. 10 days paid vacation every year;
11. At least 10 % raise resigning a second year contract;
12. Airport pick up from Beijing.
When I explained that I was planning to go to China in July partially because I have to save for the plane ticket, the interviewer also offered to buy the ticket (not a reimbursement in 6 months). This is the best offer I have gotten and I kind of want to jump all over but I'm trying to be cautious. Is there anything I should know about the school? Is this a good offer? Should I ask for anything more? I plan to ask about vacations/leave of absence so I can travel a bit because 10 days isn't much, but other than that I am pretty happy with most of it.
Thanks for your help! |
