I have no hard copy of my degree certificate and it looks like it could take along time for them to send me a new one and its costly I do however have a scanned copy of my degree, will this be acceptable to get a KITAS?
Also my college shut down three years ago; when they are verifying my degree is this going to cause problems? thank you in advance for any helpful answers

I have an MA and 3 phd's, but have the same problem. My college also closed down and I lost all of the originals in a freak fire. I have scanned copies but they're a little distorted where my name is printed as I spilt water on the phd's and the cat pee'd on my MA.

yep it seems a lot of people regarded their degree as useless until they started doing this job!!! Anyhow I will find out tomorrow so I will keep you posted

I only ever provided a scanned image of my degree. Seems a lot to ask for someone to bring the original.

Ok for anyone thats interested, a scanned copy of both your tefl and your degree will meet the demands of the KITAS. Also I have found out that people are officially not getting a KITAS unless they have a degree, but I believe the rule about the degree being English based can be easily overturned by schools with a bit of influence i.e Wall Street and EF
