Try the CIA Factbook if you want more current information on a given country. Obviously there are so many sources out there; I find the Factbook one of the convenient one-stop sources. |

Geert Hofstede. UA manifests itself in a variety of ways. One is the propensity to devise and adhere to a rigid set of rules. This sounds like Singapore, yet the island nation scored at the bottom of UA. You really have to look at each situation individually. |

I had actually typed up a response to this question, but either had it deleted or decided not to post (more likely). I forget. Anyway, one cannot properly answer this question without taking into the account the racial differences expressed within the Malaysian population. Certain groups are generally more risk-takers, other groups much more risk-averse. |
