I know that many educational institutions in the Middle East require their teachers to have a Master's degree in either TESL or Applied Linguistics, but what about a Master's in Second Language Instruction or English Language Teaching? The course requirements for both of these programs are comparable to those for TESL or Applied Linguistics and are from respected universities.
