Does anyone know what the market is like in German cities for Business English and Soft Skills? |

I would say that Germans are careful about what they spend their mony on and allocate company resources to. Soft skills ? Business English ? I do not think so. |

Actually, they will do, but they normally go for programmes offered by some name-brand organisation. I did some projects in soft skills there under the auspices of an International University, but don't think as a freelancer that most German companies would be willing to shell out the euros. |

This is certainly my experience. Virtually all of the on-site Business English I have ever seen in the country was offered through an established "Sprachendienst" which was able to help the business in question properly dispose of the "Weiterbildungsgeld". There are, of course, exceptions...but not a lot. |

I just got back from a trip to Germany. The purpose was to research what the economy looked like there. There is a huge demand for English Teachers / Business English / Freelancing etc. I was quite suprised. But as Clay said, if you want to teach Business English specifically, then you are looking at having to do it through an established academy. You can teach English as a freelancer, however, it won't be Business English. |
