|
|
Hi I've got a Master's Degree in International Business and a TESL certificate along with 6 years of teaching experience, 2 years at the University level. Is it possible to get a job in Oman at a university even if my Master's degree isn't in linguistics or TESOL?
thanks,
Palmer |

From what I have seen at my college and what I know about many of the other colleges and universities in Oman, you should be able to find a position easily with your TESL creds, experience and your MA. |

What if I have a certificate in TESOL but not a masters. Also, a year experience teaching ESL. |

Interesting stuff. How about an MA and 10 years uni teaching experience but no actual TEFL qualifications? |

At minimun the qualifications for native speakers are a bachelors degree, some sort of TESOL certificate and university experience of at least 2 year. The say that they want a bachelors degree in TESL but understand for most native speakers, TESL is a career change.
All of you should be able to find work except the one with 1 year experience. |

Note that the unrelated MA may not be counted as far as upping your pay.
