This may sound like a wacky idea but worth a shot....
I'm interested in studying Japanese in Saigon (or elsewhere in SE Asia depending on availability) before I relocate to Tokyo.
I'm currently in Bangkok and know that it is possible to take intensive Japanese courses here....but would prefer to try it in Vietnam. Would be much cheaper and provide an additional reason to return to Saigon.
Does anyone know much about studying Japanese in HCMC? I'm assuming there's an ex-pat community there. What is a good way to get in contact with Japanese ex-pats in Vietnam?
Many thanks.... |

There is (or used to be) a small school that offers Japanese language courses to locals. It is located across from the Sculpture Park and Cleverlearn's district 3 branch. Not sure, but I think this is the info:
Sakura Japanese School
Language Schools
Training Japanese
Overseas Study in Japan
(84-8 ) 39 320 750
Ho Chi Minh City 228 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ward 6, District 3
Their website is not in English:
http://www.sakura-vn.com/
They are probably some other places. |

Thanks for the tip.
Know of any magazines/newsletters in Saigon that are for the Japanese community? |
