Does anyone know how long it typically takes Westgate to get back to applicants?

My friend and I have both recently applied for their September openings. We've both completed the first two steps in the online process (basic information, followed by more info and completing their application questions) but not heard anything since about references etc, which is supposed to be the third stage before they decide whether to invite you for a phone interview.

Their recruitment 'deadline' on their website was at the end of April - However, they're still recruiting on here and elsewhere both for people to come immediately and for September, which confuses me a little... Are they struggling to get enough applicants and just not got round to dealing with people wanting to come in the Fall yet? or does the lack of response suggest that they've got no shortage of candidates and aren't interested in us?

Would appreciate advice/best guesses from anyone, especially with previous Westgate experience!

Thanks!

Andy

Hi Andy,

I wouldn't worry too much for September start. I've worked for Westgate before and they tend to leave things kind of last minute. It will depend on student numbers, the number of contracts they get. The number of people applying. They will probably leave you for a bit to see if anyone better qualified, or less confrontational comes along! (Not that I know your background or personality! They just like to get people who will tow the line)

I also know that they are short of instructors for the May term so September probably isn't high on the priority list. Hold tight for a little bit longer is my advice.

Thanks! I actually just got a response from them today, but my friend is still waiting to hear back - Hopefully this might reassure her a bit!
