|
|
Having had interviews in a DSS school I am slightly worried. If I took the job in a DSS school does that scupper any progress I have made thus far with the EdB and the NET scheme?
Also, am I right in thinking that the majority of NET schools only usually have 1 NET teacher per school?
The DSS school have told me that I won't earn as much, but has said that she will give me what I need if I were to go and work there, and I presume that there is a biannual increment in the contract.
Is one considerably better than the other, or, if in a 'good' school in either the NET or DSS scheme, is it much of a muchness? |

sign the contract with the DSS school; if you're offered a better job before the end of August, then accept the better job and tell the DSS school that something else came up. This is HK. They'll understand.
But: don't screw them over at the last minute - students will be expecting a teacher to show up, right?
anyway - if you do keep the DSS job, then tell the EdB that you want to put your NET Scheme application on hold. They can, and will, do it for you. no problems. |

Thanks - have had an email from the EdB saying that my application has been accepted by them so wouldn't need to re-apply. |
