I went there like two years ago to try to find a job at a uni. Printed off a bunch of resumes and then just hit the pavement passing them out. The city has a bunch of universities. Unfortunately, I never heard back from any of them. Your best bet would be to do a google search for universities in Manizales and then either call and ask to speak with the language department director to see if they're hiring, or to just go and hand out your resume. I was told that there is also one international high school in the city that hires foreigners, but I never made it to the school to check it out. |

I stayed for 6 weeks in Manizales and gave a half-hearted effort to find a job there before returning to Bogota. I had a university job on a platter but I had to have the visa already. Didn't work out, but I did love that city. Beautiful views in every direction and the traffic that kills me about Bogota is practically non-existent there.
When were you in Manizales and where did you stay? |
