|
|
I am curious what types of jobs are in Thailand! After being in South Korea for a while, I've gained a greater understanding of what types of teaching jobs (public school, private academies, international schools, universities) offer what benefits, what pay, and what credentials you need for what jobs. (I've got a Bachelors, TEFL Certificate, and a Professional Teaching Certification in the US).
If someone knows a link to an article regarding teaching in Thailand or could give me a quick run down themselves I'd be really obliged! |

It's difficult to answer without knowing what qualifications and experience you have? |

The jobs are the same; language academy, public school, private school, international school and uni.
Job benefits are, for new entries in the Thailand market, about 1/2 what they are in Korea. The perks come in the 2nd year after you have either proven your worth or have made connections and moved on to better things.

@annunciatah: Again, it's difficult to say exactly what you are going to get (salary wise) without knowing your educational background and experience.
My advice would be to check the job listings on some of the teaching sites in Thailand, see what matches your qualifications, and then take it from there.
There are usually jobs posted on this site and also on the other main one for Thailand. Google - teaching thailand website. It's the first link.
The best salaries are normally reserved for international schools, then universities / schools and then language schools. This is just a rough guide, as there are some exceptions. |
