Hey all,

I'm finally making the journey and looking forward to being in HCMC by the first week of July. My question is regarding visas. I know, I know, its been beaten to death, but I haven't been able to find a post that answers this specific question. I plan on applying for a single entry pre-arranged tourist visa for the first 90 days in country. My question is whether or not I can renew or upgrade this visa to a multiple-entry tourist visa when my original visa expires. Any takers? Any and all responses are most appreciated.

Very Happy

Don't quote me on this, but you should be able to (providing that you LAND in Ho Chi Minh City and not in Ha Noi or Da Nang). At the very worst case, you can easily grab a renewal of the same single-entry visa for another 90 days. There are many places in Q.1 (Pham Ngu Lao/District One) that can do this for you

Honestly? Just drop the extra $35 and get the multi-entry. You never know when you just wanna git the hell out and pop over to Siem Reap or something......plus, it'll be just simply be a renewal from a multi-entry visa to a multi-entry visa....thusly, fewer potential issues!!!

GO TIMBERS!

Haha, thanks AthruZ for the response. MLS fan? You're probably right about applying for multi-entry from the start to avoid potential issues. I'll probably end up doing this as I have been unable to get a definitive answer from anyone I've spoken with regarding the matter. No biggie though for $35 extra to save me a few headaches in the future. Where's Siem Reap? Happy travels.

GO BLAZERS!!

Well, I'm a Timbers fan.....was at the match in Seattle last month! Wish I were back for the rematch at PGE...errr...Jeld-Wen Field next month Sad

Yeah, the extra $35 is well worth it! Just be warned, though, that (ALLEGEDLY) you only get ONE renewal...then hafta pop out of the country and back in again!

The dream of the 90's is alive in Portland!
