Going to Manila, Philippines for the interview with HAK/for ARAMCO on the 29th.
The interview is in the Peninsula Hotel.....prices are expensive per night
Anyone going to the interview the same place for HAK soon?
Does anyone know of a place cheaper like either a hostel or a guesthouse close to the Peninsula Hotel so I can walk to my interview
I have the address but it just says Makati City in Manila and looked on the map but there are many guesthouses.
Looking for a price range for 30USD$ a night. or less if possible.
I just need to go there for the interview not tourism. In and out.
1 or 2 nights top.
Thanks |

You might get more possibilities if you posted this on the Philippines forum or maybe Lonely Planet's Thorntree discussion board.

Before I've stayed in a place called Robelle House. It's next to the International School of Manila, just off Makati Avenue. It's a family-owned guest house, has some charm. There's a small pool. On its website it says a single is 1,335 pesos, which is just over $30 at current exchange rates. The Peninsula will be short taxi ride down Makati Avenue. Do allow extra time for traffic.
On Expedia I saw several places in Makati in the 30s. There may be somewhere even closer if you check. I also saw Peninsula itself going for $143. I know it's over your budget but that's a smashing good rate for a hotel like that.
Good luck in your interview. A recruiter promised me that I was selected for an interview on Friday last week in Houston. But they never got back to me about the time, and the week passed without further contact from them. I hope you get treated better. |

Very interesting. This also happened to me a few weeks ago. A person from Saudi Aramco--THE Saudi Aramco--invited me to an interview in Houston. I didn't hear from her again.
I, too, hope that others get treated better. |

I'm "supposed" to be going to Manila. Even if I go, anyone know what kind of questions they ask? Should I do a grammar review? haha... |
