I am interested in moving to southern Spain, getting a CELTA, and teaching English. Valencia, Malaga, Sevilla and Cordoba all look ideal for me.
I am trying to find up-to-date information about the situation for new teachers in that region. Is it a case of part-time hours at first, building up when I have more experience? Also, how much should I expect to pay for rent and food? I just need to earn enough to pay my rent and general expenses.
I don't have a CELTA at present, but I will get one after my MA finishes. So, it would be maybe October/November that I'd start work. Which city in the region offers the best balance between job opportunities/earnings/lifestyle/scenery? |
