I've been teaching in Korea for 2 years, I haven't been home in a year and I'll begin the CELTA course at ITI next week. I may look at employment opportunities in Turkey, but it's more likely that I'll go home to see my family and conduct my search from there.
What I would really like to know is what to expect when I arrive at the airport with my cat. She's getting microchipped tomorrow and my vet has supposedly figured out what kinds of papers she needs and she's up to date on her shots. I don't expect any complications, but if anyone can chime in about an experience with this, I would appreciate it.
Additionally, since I haven't been home in a year, I need to shop for a bra or several. If I manage to find my size here in Korea, the blessed things are expensive and they fall apart in a matter of weeks. Will I find it easier to shop for these in Istanbul, or will I have to wait until I get home? |

I haven't brought my cat over yet but I have looked into it several times and the paperwork as well as only two animals per flight (in the cabin) are the biggest factors.
Bras are a different story and really depend on your size. I would say that if you are a B cup or smaller, then they are readily available. I see bras everywhere, but they are always what I would consider heavily padded. If you want/need a bra with no padding then I advise you to purchase it at home. |

Thank you for the info. I think that kitty is ready to go and I'm getting packed up as well. I'm a little disappointed about the bra situation. In my world, B stands for not big enough. |

I have actually found the bras in Turkey (dd) better quality and cheaper than back home. Dont worry - but you will need to go to a lingerie shop to find them - it's a bit more confronting because you need to tell the often male counter assistant your size and he fishes out different boxed bras for you to try on. |

I bought one today and I thought it was pretty expensive, but it's nice to have one that isn't falling apart...and with a bakery every 20 feet, I wonder if any of my clothes will fit me by the time I leave here! |
