8 years in the Royal Air Force in the trade of air traffic control/13 years English instructor; Scotland, France, Switzerland, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Kuwait - really looking to get into aviation English - somewhere nice like Thailand, Japan or France - not Jeddah nor Algiers thanks - why have I only been offered these places...arrrggghhhh...

Anyone got any info on aviation/aeronautical schools around the world..

There's one in my area of Italy, but all the language training is done via a language school. You can count on the wages being far lower than if you were appointed directly by the organisation itself. I was recently offered �18 an hour for corporate classes here (again, via a language school rather than directly) which, after tax and social security, leaves you about �11.

yeah thanks..i am trying to apply directly to the aeronautical schools....for the reason you've stated...11 euros an hour a joke....you can earn more than that in third world thailand and ethiopia.....perhaps even Wales Wink

In the past few years I've seen jobs with the military in Spain and Italy. But I think mainly fixed term short contracts for a few months.

Another option is to look at the UN and EEC websites. In the past it was possible to register and express an interest/ability.
