|
|
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with a query I have please?
I am a 27 year old female, with a UK passport, and a business degree. I am starting a CELTA course next week, and am going to apply for a PGCE course starting next September. In the meantime, I would like to acquire some teaching work in the UK (just to beef up my CV). I have already taught for a year in Cambodia between 2009-10.
As far as I can see I have two options: Either to apply for teaching assistant jobs - but these seem to be in primary schools, and since I would prefer to teach secondary, this experience wouldn't be that relevant. Secondly, I could try and acquire an English teaching job with my CELTA.
Can anyone help me out with what type of jobs I could get with just a CELTA, and how I would go about finding these please?
Just to let you know, the reason that I can't go abroad for the next year, is because I want to stay with my boyfriend - who is a UK builder aged 41, and it seems difficult for him a get Visas in many countries, to enable him to travel with me. If anyone knows any countries I could travel with, with him, that would also be very helpful.
Thanks xxx |

What type of school were you at in Cambodia? If you have a reference letter, that should help you.
I'm guessing lagnauge schools or summer camps would be an option. Have you considered marriage? It makes visas a heck of a lot easier. |

I'm back in Korea and love it here, but I have a very good job (high salary, heaps of vacay). The only issue you might have with the Middle East is that you'd be getting your husband a visa. I know it's POSSIBLE for women to get their husband's visas, but I think it's more difficult.
