I would appreciate advice. I am an experienced teacher so perhaps I shouldn't be in a muddle! A couple of years ago, I spent a wonderful 6 summer weeks teaching at Embassy CES in Oxford Brookes, and vowed to come back to Oxford. Well, some Embassy staff taught in EF Oxford the next year and recommended it to me. Well, ended up doing something else. I am teaching in China this year and next year, but I get long holidays, so I applied to EF Summer Schools looking for work in July. and saying EF Oxford was my preferred option. The recruiter said that option was available.I got a phone call from a different EF Centre. I said I would work for them but was waiting for confirmation and a contract or job description from EF Oxford before hand. The recruiter said she'd send the Oxford contract in a couple of days but didn't.. I e-mailed her again, explaining that I needed confirmation that I had the job: other schools were interested. repeated that she'd send the Oxford contract soon. But the other EF School seems adamant that I will be with THEM, and for far longer than I can commit to THIS year. The other school sent a job description. I heard that you have to accept the first job EF offers. But would it be okay to accept Oxford job and reject the other one?
Perhaps I am reading to much into this, but last year I applied for jobs overseasand got lots of airy promises that were broken. So I tend to worry.
