This is a thread that I would like to start for discussions among current and previous Disney English teachers. I have just had an interview with them and now have a gazillion questions on my mind. So it would really really help to establish contact with experienced trainers, as they like to call us.
I hope to discuss location, medical coverage, the visa process, airfare, the students, bereavement policy and much more! I hope this can serve as a tool to get insight for the Disney English program in China.
Also, if you're thinking about Disney English, i am happy to share what i have learnt about them through the interview and resources they've provided.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon! |

It seems like most of these topics can be discussed with those at Disney English who are offering you the job. If you have discussed those but feel their representatives may be LYING to you (or maybe embellishing the truth somewhat), then that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish. Quite frankly, you're never going to know the whole truth about any school until you actually work for them for a few months. One ex (or current)-employee may tell you all sorts of horrible things about their experience with Disney English while another may have nothing but praise for them. Which one are you going to believe? Are you an optimist or a pessimist?
PS: 90% of the time, it's the negative nellies that will reply to you. If someone lists positive things about the organization, they may well be beat down (figuratively) on this or other forums you may be searching. |
