Positives: The house is located in the centre of Vung Tau, no more than 10 minutes ride by motorbike to all points of interest and typical expat employment locations. House is situated off the main road via several hundred meters of alleyway, making it pleasantly quiet. A further buffer from noise and neighbors is that the house is bordered on all sides by uninhabited landscape, including two garden lots, a community vegetable plot, and a yard with several fruit trees. House is furnished including three beds, fridge, ceiling fans in each room, laundry machine, cooking range, a TV, various tables and chairs, and is internet, cable, and land line phone ready. The location is secure. There is one large master bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a shower and bath tub, and there is a second bathroom with tub and toilet, as well as a ground level toilet and sink in the laundry area. There are two other bedrooms, one medium sized and one small. All bedrooms share the second level. First level consists of a large sitting room and large kitchen. The top of the house is a large terrace, perfect for relaxing in the breeze, entertaining, and barbecuing, with a nice view of the city centre. The house has an auxiliary rooftop water tank, providing great water pressure for showers. The house is private and entertaining is possible without undue attention from neighbors.
Drawbacks: The house is certainly "lived in." The furnishings are showing their age, as are some of the appliances, but all are still functional. The walls could use a coat of paint, and some areas could use a good cleaning, such as windows, curtains, and light fixtures. The owner may be open to addressing these concerns. The owner does not reside in country, so communication is troublesome at times, but the caretaker and the owner have been very pro-active in addressing any concerns.
Additional details:
