Hey all, I just arrived in Japan two days ago and loving it so far. I've been placed to live in Asahi-ku and I've noticed that there are, to my newbie knowledge, no english speakers or expats where I am. If anyone out there is living in my ward let me know because I need some info on municipal matters (the office has very few english speakers and the last time I had to wait awhile for a traslation.) and general familiarity questions. For example, how can I find out my garbage days, good haunts, interesting spots (outside the usual fare) Thanks, talk to you later.
