|
|
Has anyone had experience with their short 3 week courses, such as Blended Learning? I know they offer regular certs and dips through Trinity, so are legit.
They seem to be similar to the one's at IH Online, except shorter and cheaper.
Anyone taken these?

I do not know if they have re-vamped their course, but in the past the on-site segments focused primarily on 'how to get a job in a foreign country,' 'how to live in a foreign country,' and practice teaching one's peer trainees. I know because a friend was thinking of accepting a job with the company - she did not take it because she couldn't consider the course a 'real' one. |

Yeah, I haven't heard the best about the on site course, but the online ones are basically two parts. The regular TEFL one and add ones, such as
Teaching Business English
Teaching Young learners
CLIL
Teaching Exams
teaching Pronunciation
Leadership
Blended Learning
Do you happen to know about the online ones? |

My friend said it was pretty standard approach-and-method material, though she thought that it was not in-depth enough and there was no means to check if the trainees understood (or even read) it well. Basically, her feeling was that the important bits of an entry-level course ('how to teach - the basics') were the bits that received the least attention. |

Oxford TEFL is not professional? Or Oxford Seminar? Oxford TEFL offers Trinity certs and dips, which are equivilant to Camridge CELTA and DELTA. They're "real" courses.
Looks like we both might have read too fast
It seems to be legit here, http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=86617 |

Yes, I was thinking of Oxford Seminars.
A slip-up.
I'll do my best to continue not to make a habit of reading too quickly. It's not really my normal mode. |

I blame my dad for it He made me take speed reading, though in theory you're supposed to remember most, I get too excited and skip words. Same with writing. I tend to leave things out. Oh well, thank goodness I re read stuff I write, just not on the forum , but acaedmic stuff I mean. |
