Interac is a company with integrity.

If Interac did not exist, then we couldn't have access to high schools positions. Interac is the only reputable company that provides opportunities for good jobs in high schools in Japan.

What I really liked about interac was their promis to develop teachers and to really work with them in improving their teaching skills. Interac is concerned with the most modern ESL teachng methodoloy.
Interac is a Grade A ESL employer!!

Inerac is really all about education - first and foremost!

I look forward to purusing their next slew of High School contracts!

I agree that Interac gives descent training if you are new to ESL teaching. Such was my experience a few years ago. However, you have to look at the whole picture. At the time I was at Interac, I learned through experience that the management lacked integrity. They would not hesitate to lie to their employees if it was in the company's interest.

This link documents someone else's similar experience:

www.fierceforward.com/interac

It was also my experienc at Interac that there was always at least one employee who would suck up to the management by either ratting on their colleagues and/or making internet postings about the company which painted a rosy picture. Twisted Evil

Really hope you are taking the piss like someone else said.

Integrity- That's why when they remove you of a regular class to teach an intensive, they tell them that you are sick? They can't even do that well. They don'T tell you anything about it and you get back to the regular class and when the students ask how you feel you tell them you were away teaching at another company.

Couldn't have access to high schools? That's laughable to all of us out there who are hired directly by government and private schools. And only work 3 days for the same money as 5 days with Interac.

And training - guess it depends on the head teacher but even with a good one the training is limited.

blacky1,

Dude, where the heck did you work!?! Which planet?!

The so-called training is a mere 3-day endurance test. The people leading the training are survivors, stars and people who are good at motivational speaking, but there isn't enough time.

The CMs typically don't have pedagogy and I'Ve never heard of locations that provide training.

ESL? English Spoken Loudly? Everybody Start Laughing? Eventually Students Lose?

Aye, fu' o' guff. Aw nonsense.
