I will give you the same advice that I received before I worked there. Be careful. Very high Viet turnover. Very unhappy foreign teachers. Many empty promises. Good luck. |

What city? Hanoi or HCMC, for the Singapore International?
There is also a Kinderworld in Danang.
The Singapore International school in Hanoi is almost always advertising for teachers.
Not a good sign.
Also, a friend of mine has two kids that attend Singapore Int'l school in Hanoi and his daughter is in the 4th grade. His daughter has 6 different teachers in one academic year.
High turnover among the foreign teachers. I assume that low pay is an issue, as well as organization, or lack of.
As for Kinderworld, I've heard first-hand negative experiences from people who've worked there, however they worked at Kinderworld, 2 years ago in HCMC.
Good luck. |

I never met anyone who worked here and liked it. Always advertising for teachers, which means people leave regularly. Why? |

starting at @SIS Saigon South in August, see you there?
despite some of the comments posted i'm looking forward to it. Those of you who worked there, could you recommend somewhere to live in the area apart from PMH? It will probably be my starting point in looking for a place but i don't want to right-off straight-away other areas which may suit my needs. I don't wish to hijack this thread but I think it's relevant.
Thanks |

Won't see you at Saigon South but perhaps see you at the induction(Hanoi??)
HCM does my head in.
I'll be at another campus.
Judging by my 2 years at 2 other schools in Vietnam I'm not expecting great things.
But- if I can avoid dealing with the Viet management and just deal with the foreign principal, the salary package they've given me plus the location should make up for it.
Enjoy
