I don't think it would be a problem. Background checks are rare anyway, and even when they're required, China is known to be a little more lenient. The other country you mentioned is just ridiculous. It's like they order the checks but then don't really understand what they're looking at, so they just reject anything that doesn't come up blank. I would surmise that non-English-speakers review the background checks there. Oh well, let said country do what it wants -- China's more fun and welcoming anyway. China has its faults, but it must be said, it's a much more flexible country than some of the others in Asia.
