I was wondering if anyone out there other than myself has been watching all of the amazing YOUTUBE videos that are out there in the Japan VLOGGING world. I am already in the works of creating my own VLOG. I at least want to get it up and running by the time I get to Japan.
Anyway, who are some of your favorite J-VLOGGERS?
Here are some of my favorites!
myargonauts - Jason is a Jet Vlogger who moved to Japan when he was 33. He did the Jet program to the max which is 5 years. Then he moved back to his hometown of San Diago. Recently, he moved back to Japan to accept a University position. His Vlog is one of the best and most informative on YOUTUBE.
Tokyocooney - He lives in Tokyo and makes great videos.
BusanKevin - Kevin once taught ESL in Korea and now lives in Kobe, Japan. His Youtube vlog now have over 17,000 subscribers and he is a great source for info on being an expat in Japan.
Givemeaflakeman - Victor aka. Givemeabreakman (his other channel). He is located somewhere around Nagoya and has more videos than you will be able to watch.
TkyoSam - A funny Vlogger from Chiba.
I will suggest other J-VLOGGERS at another time. Which ones are your favorite? |

Thanks for the links. Like you I hope to start my own vlog too once I get to Japan. After looking around I decided to use Vegas Movie Studio 10. I'm still trying to decide how long I should make my intro to my videos. Have you or anyone else got any tips about making vlogs? Thanks. |

I have a macbook and use Final Cut Pro. I am not sure what PC users out there use. Most software is really easy to use.
Let me suggest another YOUTUBE VLOG.
Japundit - He is the guy behind Japantalk.org. He has started recording video of his very super informative podcast show. |

Thanks for the info but what i meant by intro was just something at the start of each video i make. I was thinking maybe 15 - 20 seconds. What do you think?
I was testing out Vegas Movie Studio with some random pics and made a quick intro but I think 30 seconds is too long especially if it was something people have to watch all the time. Please have a look.

I'm not exactly a vlogger, but I do have a Japan-oriented YouTube channel:

I'm hoping to post more vloggish clips in the near future. |

I'm planning starting up a vlog too, I figured why not jump on the bandwagon and give my point of view from my lilttle corner in Hamamatsu!
I have seen a couple of the bloggers that you mentioned and they are pretty good.
I also like atomicboyx and nagoyaga. Both of these blogs aren't as active as before, but they have a lot of fun videos and are entertaining. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check them out! I did find a couple more great Vlogs this week.
Thatjapanesegirl - She is Japanese and speaks great English. Her vlogs are funny and fun.
FindMeInKurume - I love "shoutouts" on YOUTUBE. Today, I was watching BusanKevin's other channel jlandkev. He suggested findmeinkurume, and let me say that it was a really good find. This guy brings a 100% fresh prespective on Japan, and his videos are fantastic. He only has 100 supscribers, and I have a feeling that he is going to get really big. Anyway, check out findmeinkurume. |

wow my first post here
I love J-vlogs as well. I know I've met tokyocooney a few time he's great.
I was looking for one from an Interac ALT but haven't found a lot.
I am not in Japan yet but started my vlog about applying for an ALT job.

I thought I would post a couple more of my favorite JVlog Youtubers..
WarmothStrat - http://www.youtube.com/user/WarmothStrat
WarmothStrat aka. Mully has lived in Japan for 20+ years and currently resides in Shizuoka.
NihonJenn - http://www.youtube.com/user/nihonjenn?blend=6&ob=5
Jenn teaches English and lives in Hokkaido. She does a segment on her channel that I love called "Name That Okashi".
My YouTube channel has been created and I will be creating my first video when my new HDcam arrives. My username is followbeninjapan, however I will need to post video before anyone subs. I will provide a link when it is ready to go. |
