Do they have evening classes where Arabic is taught?
I highly doubt this but is it possible to learn it by just living in the country due to the surrounding. I doubt this because the immediate environment will obviously be the english speaking teachers.... |

Did you say that you will be in Riyadh? I'd guess that there are classes to be found in a larger city. There are usually Islamic Societies that provide classes - good for non-Arab Muslims who especially want to learn to read. You could also look into finding a private tutor.
I found elsewhere in the Gulf that I had no need for what Arabic that I knew from living in Egypt, as even outside of the English speaking environment of the university, all shopping was done in English. As far as daily life, a knowledge of Hindi or Urdu might be more useful than Arabic.
