Sorry for the post but as the embassy are now closed until next week I was wondering if anyone knows what the processing fee will be for the z-visa in london? Thanks in advance for any answers.

garybliss123,

A Z visa costs $130 for Americans, but only $30 for citizens of other countries.

Check out the website :

Thank you Dedicated. To the person above, considering how I am online I obviously searched for the price before posting this and obviously couldn't find it.

So many people come on here these days and are deliberately rude or unhelpful. What's the point? Anyway, Dedicated actually answered my question so thanks again.

It was a bit blunt, but I think it worries people here when someone wants to move to China, but cannot successfully do an online search to find the visa price and procedure. Having said that, the information, least for the UK, is not as quick and easy to find as you might expect.

Anyway, Dedicated gave you an answer in USD, which already should be a little strange, and is incorrect. In London, you do not apply via the embassy, but instead they have farmed out their visa service to a private company.

Here you go: http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/

Work visa instructions: http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/visainstruction/250047.shtml

Fees: http://www.visaforchina.org/LON_EN/visainstruction/250020.shtml

It is 30GBP for the visa, but the service centre also charges a fee (the embassy never used to) which starts at 36GBP for 4 day service and rises from there. So it is a little more expensive, but you can fill out the application online now and get an appointment time, rather than having to queue outside the embassy for hours in the a.m. to submit your documents, and queue again to collect.

Good luck.
