I've been a frequent reader and a very infrequent poster, but I wanted to express my gratitude for all the insight I've gained on this forum. I especially wanted to thank those regular posters who often go out of their way to provide detailed assistance to people in all kinds of quandaries.
I'm unfortunately taking my leave of Japan, so I felt the need to put into words my appreciation for this wonderful country. Though there have been many "what do you love about Japan" threads, I figured we could use one more.
I'll miss the people, the food, and the transportation system. In that order!
What do you cherish here?
Thanks again everyone! |

The people I can take or leave (apart from my amazing wife) - I'm a general misanthrope anyway.
The food and transportation system are utterly necessary to my life here and I feel they're integral features of the country that make living here such an outstanding experience.
To be frank, I think the single best thing that the country has produced is the washlet: all life's problems just melt away when you know that your arse is probably cleaner than your face. |
