Istanbul Sehir University�s School of Languages is seeking a number of qualified and experienced, native English language instructors to teach general English and academic language skills in our preparatory and freshman English programs for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Instructors are expected to work as part of a dynamic team with a commitment to continuous improvement and high quality in learning outcomes.

Applications should include the following:

1. An updated CV with the names and contact details of at least three references

2. A cover letter indicating the reasons and the suitability for applying for the position

3. A short statement of teaching philosophy

Applicants should meet most, preferably all, of the following requirements:

* Master's Degree in TESL/TEFL, Education, Applied Linguistics or a closely related field or a BA degree and RSA DELTA

* Two years experience teaching in a Turkish university English language prep department

* Knowledge of current ELT approaches, curriculum, materials and test development trends

* Experience in teaching EFL at tertiary level for a minimum of two years

* Commitment to professionalism with strong work ethics, attention to detail, ability and willingness to learn and take initiative

* Highly organized, task-oriented, and computer literate

* Familiarity and willingness to blend technology into language teaching

* Ability to work both independently and as a team member in an innovative environment
