I am thinking of applying for the British Council Haiphong project.
The pay range starts at $2900 per month, less 20% tax.
The upside seems to be free housing and 25 contact hours a week, teaching intensive high level classes to civil servants. 9 weeks holiday per year, paid visas and a flight to and from Vietnam.
The downside could be the location ( Do Son) and shared housing.
However, with little to do there, the opportunity to save $2000 a month could be on!
Has anybody reading this worked on the project? If so, can you shed any light on the positives and negatives of the job?
A year in Do Son, saving $2k a month must be a better option than a year in Riyadh saving 2500 a month! |

I'll probably drop an app as well, though I don't have a DELTA, so kind of doubt that I'll get in. |

Did you apply?
I worked there for a year, from when it started. If you've got any questions, feel free to PM.
