Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but how much money should I bring to Taiwan if.....

1. I have secured a job, and just need start up cost till first payday.
2. I haven't secured a job, and need money till I find a job and get settled.


PS: Does anyone know how to get the search function on this website to work? It always just goes to a blank white screen when I press "search".

let me elaborate....can I pay off 350 dollars in student loans/credit cards a month while teaching in Taiwan?

Of course, I understand that's a complicated question, but just in general...is it possible? Is it possible to pay off 350 a month and save more?

Yes, $350 is easy to do unless you were a person who didn't want to save.
