Dear All
I have a friend who does business in a number of different countries and he is wondering if there is anything on the Internet (free or otherwise) which specifically focuses on getting used to different accents.
If anyone knows of a website (or anything else) and could let me know, I would be grateful.
Regards

Not specifically for training, but there was a TV series called Creature Comforts by Aardman Animations (of Wallace & Grommit fame). It's cartoon style, but the voices are regular people and natural speech, not actors or scripted. There's lots of regional accents and colloquial language usage. There are UK and USA versions too. I've used them with students at various levels and found them to be helpful for practicing listening to regional accents. |
