It seems like some places are still willing to pay a decent wage while others are low-balling as much as possible. A little irratating. |

Dear vamanos12,
What we need now is first, a more precise definition of "decent wage" and second, some examples from various institutions.
If you'll give Number One try, I'll see what I can come up with for Number 2.
Regards,

Yeah, but just like jobs in other fields, your services would go to the highest bidder anyway, which is why it's smart to apply to more than one place. You may not get everything you want or expect, but hey, life's often about compromises. |

A decent wage depends on many factors and as Nomad soul stated, your willingness to compromise on some of the factors: housing, location, working hours, flights, end of service gratuity, etc.
Also one person's idea of a decent wage may differ from another's. I would say a 'decent average' wage ranges between 14,000 to 17,000, but then again it depends on one's experience and education. A high end wage may not be appealing, if you have lousy administration-management, stuck out in the boonies with crazy working hours. There are so many variables to consider.
For example: One factor I have always considered non -negotiable is shared housing....unless they offered single accommodation I would never consider them.
In the end, as Nomad soul stated...in pays to apply to more than one place. |
