Just curious to know, have any of you folks on the ground in the ME noticed an increase in applicants for jobs in the past few months?

A few friends dotted around the globe (e.g. Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam) have commented that there's been an upsurge in people applying for work where they're based, most are coming from countries where the economy has tanked and job losses are rising.

Has the ME seen more people hoping to get a job in the region? (No point in me being country specific otherwise I'd be spamming every forum wih this thread. Cool )

There doesn't seem to be more people than usual on here asking about positions. We don't really know what the HR departments are receiving or not... especially since the major university employers do online applications through their websites now.
