I get sinus allergies sometimes so I take allergy pills (over the counter) and nasal spary (steriod). When I go for my uni's medical will this be a problem in passing the test? Confused

Also- is a medical test needed if I already had one done in the US? The officals that processed my LOI and work permit accepted it. Confused

You shouldn't have any problem passing the tests. There is a blood draw and probably a urine sample (along with other tests done in assembly line fashion: room 1 ultrasound, room 2 ECG, etc). The blood draw is to check for STDs especially HIV. The urine sample most likely checks for narcotics. I can't imagine a steroid would trigger it. Most likely they are looking for opiates (watch the poppyseed muffins), and maybe marijuana.

They will almost certainly ask you to have a medical exam even though the first one satisfied the consulate. The school should pay for the in-China exam.

Thanks,
My allergy is more of a pain the a... than anything . I would be really pissed if they gave me a hard time over allergy meds over the counter along with my spray. Rolling Eyes
