OK, so for six years I've been working in China. I've worked in four provinces, I've worked at one school for 3 years and another for 2 years. The rest of them only 1 year. I like moving around but looking for a new job is such a hassle as well as being a stressful thing to me. It has occurred to me during these years I only post my application on Dave's and a couple other ESL sites. But there has got to be some other places to post a resume.
So, if anyone has a site to post a resume at please do share it.
PM or otherwise would be great. Thanks. |

I'd like to know where to post them too. I guess the people that know good places are keeping them a secret cause they don't want them getting too crowded, possibly making it difficult for them to find a new job in the future.
I posted my resume on dave's recently and got very few offers. I couldn't figure out if I didn't write a good one for this site or if there just weren't many people looking at the resumes posted. |

Here's a theory. If you post your resume on sites where payment is necessary to view the resume you can expect less traffic. If you post your resume on sites where people can view your resume without paying you can expect more traffic. |

Yes, a lot of people have read this thread and not replied.
I was talking to a recruiter and they said they do the bulk of their work in the month of May, so a few job offers might be expected. I have found 3 sites to post a resume and they can all be found on very easily by typing "English teaching China post resume ESL" on google.com.
However, most of the responses I've gotten are from recruiters looking to fill up language mills with 100 foreign teachers or something nasty like that. They also offer something ridiculous like 4200 rmb.
PS-- Here are my links --Wishing everyone good luck in finding their next post.

Have a friend post it on a Chinese job website. My friend did that for me and I nearly had to turn off my phone as I had so many calls and offers. Apparently a lot of companies/schools looking for foreign employees aren't familiar with English job websites or don't know how to post on them. |

A little advice: if you DO post your resume, don't use your real name. Just put Mr. ESL Teacher or Ms ESL Teacher. Your name and resume will undoubtedly show up in other places on the web if employers don't have to subscribe to see your resume. Even then, it isn't a full deterrent.
TeachChina will provide a LOT of inquiries. |
