Hi All.
I just wanted to see if anyone has ever faced this issue before...
I was offered a job in South Korea at the end of May to start in Aug. I had all my documents ready to go BUT then I found out my FBI background check couldn't be notarized as easily as my other documents so I had to send it off to get notarized by FBI. That took about 10 days.
Then I had to send it to DC to get apostilled. It is now July 27th and I still haven't gotten it back! I have called the Secretary of State, I have hired an agency to go and pick up my document...still nothing. In the meantime, there are no jobs in Seoul with my program. (I was hired with EPIK) I can be placed in a smaller town but don't really want that.
I'm just upset and wanted to share..anyone else face this?
So now what do I do? Do I start over looking? UGGG! |

Dear deniserita,
You really need to post this on the Korean board (which requires a separate registration.)
From the sticky (above)
"Please Do Not Post Korea Related Comments or Threads Here
Please do not post questions or comments regarding living and teaching in Korea on this board. The Korean Job Discussion Forums exist solely for this purpose and contain a wealth of information and resources pertinent to Korea.
This policy is applicable to all forums here on the International Board.
If any Korea focused comments are posted on the International Board, they will be deleted or locked and sanctions issued as warranted.
Separate registration is required for the Korean Job Discussion Forums and registration here on the International board does not automatically transfer to the Korean Job Discussion Forums:"

As soon as one of the Mods sees this, it'll probably be locked/deleted.
Regards,
John |
