|
|
Well, I finished my CELTA last week, yesterday I got my interim report from the school saying they've graded me a 'Pass', and I've just had my first-ever ELT interview. It was with the director of studies at Prime School, and it seemed to go reasonably well. Russia wasn't at the top of my list of countries of choice, but I could be convinced otherwise. The director said he should get back to me early next week.
Does anyone have any information on, or experience of, Prime School? It's apparently an offshoot of BKC. Also, what is Moscow like (Novo Peredelkino or central Moscow - apparently there's also a position possibly in Moscow itself) for someone who's brand new to the country? What were your first impressions when you were new to the city? I'm a 25 year old New Zealander. |

these types of direct questions about schools tend not to get answered publically. Ask some specific questions. Tell us about the offer and what its like? What's the school's website etc...
The contract and the people/the school should give you an idea of what your experience will be like. Very welcoming people vs. formal hierarchical etc..
good luck anyway.
Also, isn't novo peredelkino in the regions - just googled it and it's not on the metro. Never been there so i can't say what its like. i would definitely ask to speak to the people who were there before! |

Yandex shows it as a region southwest of Moscow, and outside the MKAD. The closest metro station is Yugo-zapadnaya, though you'd definitely use a minibus to get there, so your time in Moscow itself would be quite limited.
Some of the regions outside of Moscow are extremely rich, and quite nice, but I'm not sure if this is one of them. |
