There are at least 1000 unfilled positions in KSA for women in universities through out the Kingdom. With school starting in one month what are your predictions? Do you think they will find well qualified teachers and have their visas processed in time or do you think they will get desparate the day before school starts and lower the qualifications?

I know female teachers that were with KSU with various contractors and they were let go after teaching a year or two, because they lacked a qualification. Seems the university is cracking down on the contractors to eliminate the riff-raff, but are their expectations realistic? How do you fire teachers that did a good job, because they aren't qualified even though you knew that from the start, leaving even more unfilled positions?

As long as recruiters continue springing up a dime a dozen a month and worry more about which passport you hold than your qualifications, experience and abilities the academic level will continue as a high school playground or lower instead of university level.

Pretty much all unis require a CELTA + MA to start for expats and now that some recruiters have lost contracts it sounds like an urge to fill that void, but watch out, theyll come back under a different name or will subcontract or get a joint-venture with some of the new ones.

As far as salaries go, it is the same game, different players, they offer rock bottom and see if you accept. What they seem to forget is that a lot of people arent so inclined to live and work in such an overly restricted environment even if in desperate need of the $$$
