Hi,
Although I have no previous teaching experience, I am considering taking a CELTA course with the intension of getting an on-line teaching position. I've found lots of job postings but haven't found any schools that I could talk to directly about my chances of getting a job, the number of hours I would likely be expected to work, and what the work is like, exactly. It seems that I could expect to start at about $9 an hour and depending on my abilities work up to $20 an hour if I'm lucky. Before I spend $2500 on the course I would like to know more about the work (on-line) in general. Can anyone advise me?
