Hmm, I was told by a manager at Wall Street that they did offer a work visa. If a company as large as Wall Street is hiring teachers illegally...well I'd say it's disgraceful (yet not surprising, sigh....). Despite all IH's problems, offering a work visa is one good thing about them that does distinguish them from other institutes. Hopefully they've cleared up any pay issues they might have had.

How is the colegio working out for you in terms of pay, student discipline and administration support? I did a year of colegio work in another city and it was pretty tough to say the least.

Sorry been a while since I've been here. I worked at Wall Street for 3 months and was told they did not offer a work visa. Many of the institutes will hire someone without a visa as I'm sure you're well aware. Perhaps they have changed policies recently?

Working at a colegio is better imo, I work at a small one teaching kids that between 10-13. The pay is better and the kids really are pretty well behaved, although they can act up sometimes.
