I am not personally involved in this program, but have several friends that are. AIESEC in Turkey is nothing more then an agency that will sub-contract you out to a school. You will only be paid 700tl for a 40 hour class week. You will also not be given a place to stay. So, what happens to most in this program, is that they end up couch surfing. Also, no medical insurance. The treatment of these people is on par with slavery.
Even if you are new to teaching you can do better then this. Remember the program in your country is vastely different from the one in Turkey. If you are really wanting to teach in Turkey just google the schools in the city you want to teach in. You will never get an offer lower than this. AIESEC is the lowest of the low. |
